Review of Objective
Before you can move forward on designing your dream rule, you need to know the framework within which you are working. Some things, schedule and task-wise, you consistently do and most likely will not or cannot change. You will have sleep times, weekend and other patterns with which you are going to need to identify in order to create your schedule framework. You will start out by documenting how you and your family currently spend your time.
Instructions
Take some time, up to a week even, to assess and document where you currently spend your time. This can be a very revealing exercise. You should print out several copies of the Time-Tracking template so that you can place it in varied locations so that you are less likely to miss something. You could also track your day using a phone app, if this works better for you.
Your notes shouldn’t be verbose, you just need to get the
general idea. Assessing your time will begin to give you a feel where your “free-er”
times are and where your committed times are during your day.
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be
also.
Matthew 6:21
Replace the word
“treasure” in the above Bible verse with the word “time” and ponder.
